Cool room, all in all had nice stay.
Units especially in bathroom. The room had climate control, TV with premium cable channels and an individual safe plus smoke detectors, provided for safety measures. Location: the hotel was very close to brewery as well as a park.

The Great Western Colorado Lodge is the nicest place to stay in Salida. the hotel is comfy and serves as a good home base for one night. - the location is excellent, located next to a craft beer brewery and the town's rodeo. - the building is nice and the rooms in the back are cozy.

Not happy with the cost - overpriced for what you get.
Beds were comfy. Takes pets.
Had 3 rooms for a reunion in July. One we killed 8-9 bugs in, one the shower was not cleaned. There was long dark hair all over shower wall. One bathroom door didn’t latch. At the start of breakfast the hard boiled eggs were already room temperature and not kept in anything to stay chilled. We didn’t eat anything they had out for breakfast The towels in all rooms were so small and so thin, and lint stuck to my body after showering. The room that the pool was in was so so hot.

The location of the lodge is excellent, situated on the outskirts of town in a very nice setting near downtown Salida. They offer a continental breakfast, which is a nice convenience for guests. - the staff at the lodge are pretty friendly, and I appreciated their positive attitude.
